NetMap 1.5 has been released



NetMap is a hardware and software asset management tool for network administrators.

Using NetMap, network administrators can easily visualize an overview of established network devices and access a single source of data for software licenses, system versions and login information. Additionally, NetMap can be used to manage user requests for repairs or upgrades through a built-in messaging system. NetMap is an asset management tool that affords network administrators convenient and organized access to information about the network they manage; saving time and making the information technology process more efficient.

New in this version:
NetMap icons now support full greyscale masks and transparency.
Added a duplicate menu item for netmap items.
Network types can now have a custom line color. This is set in the map preferences dialog.
Network, display, and workstation types can now be set as global in nature. Global item types are shared across NetMaps that are made on the same system. This value is set in the map preferences dialog.
An actions section has been added to the network tab which allows you to ping the selected item. Other actions will be added in future releases.
The statistics tab now has a print option for its data.
There is now an application preference window that allows setting some default values for new documents as well as setting a custom folder location for item icons.
The readout that lists the number of icons now shows the correct number of icons after using the slider.
Corrections made to French and Italian localizations.
Some minor interface changes.
Item types (networks, displays, workstations) have been moved to the map preferences dialog window. As such, the menu items for the lists have been removed.
