Zevrix Solutions has announces LinkOptimizer 5.3.8, a feature update to company's workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign. LinkOptimizer works with Photoshop to lets users automatically scale and crop images to their InDesign dimensions at specified target resolution, convert image formats, adjust colors, embed profiles, reduce link size and more.

The new version introduces the Random Number variable token for the optimized image name with the option to specify the number of digits for each random number. The new token is indispensable for the users who need to apply a unique identifier to each image link without breaking their links to InDesign. In addition, the update fixes an issue in which some sharpening and layer merge settings were not honored under some rare conditions when processing multiple files.
