Before shipping to retailers in September

From The Inquirer:
hat's according to Bloomberg, which has heard from "people familiar with Apple's plans," that mass production of the firm's two iPhone 6 models will begin in July, which means they might be available to ship to retailers the following month.

This follows recent reports that Foxconn is recruiting an additional 100,000 factory workers to produce the iPhone 6 models, and seems to debunk previous rumours that the 5.5in model will launch after the smaller, 4.7in model. However, Bloomberg noted that production of the 5.5in model is more complicated than the smaller version "resulting in lower production efficiency", which suggests that the larger iPhone 6 model will be in short supply at launch.
