The new iPod Video come in black or white with a 2.5-inch screen and will be available in a 30GB model for $299 and a 60GB version for $399. The new video/picture/MP3 player hold up to 15,000 songs, 25,000 photos or more than 150 hours of video, according to Apple. The iPod Video also has a battery life of 20 hours, which is several hours longer than previous hard drive-based iPod models. The new iPod's are expected to start shipping sometime next week.

Apple also introduced iTunes 6, the latest version of its digital media download service, adding the ability to download over 2,000 music videos and 6 short movies made by Pixar Animation Studios, all for $1.99 apiece. Some other new features of iTunes include the capability to give downloads to other users as gifts, view and author reviews of various downloads, and a beta version of "Just For You" a service designed to suggest songs or videos based on a person's previous buying habits. Apple launched iTunes 5 only five weeks prior to launching iTunes 6.
