On the morning of January 9, 2007, Steve Jobs took the keynote stage at the Macworld Conference to introduce a new device he called the iPhone. When he was done wow-ing the crowd, Jobs unceremoniously mentioned that Apple Computer Inc. was changing the name to simply Apple Inc.
