The almost-war between Apple and Google is over, with the companies' CEOs, Steve Jobs and Eric Schmidt, providing a photo op at a cafe in Palo Alto last Friday. We don't really care that the meeting was obviously staged -- its ramifications are interesting. You see, the iPhone is set to grow rapidly in the global market, but Android phones are dogging its heels.
