What is Bluetooth technology? From what I have read it is wireless technolgoy, but what purpose does it serve to aim for PCs? Instead of searching the web, I'd rather ask you guys. .

It's a short-range wireless technology, primarily for communication between peripherals.
Microsoft have just launched a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse combo, 3Com do a Bluetooth parallel port print adapter, and of course the most quoted Bluetooth accessory, the mobile phone headset.
Look out for Bluetooth drivers coming to a Windows update near you soon!
The driving idea behind Bluetooth is to eliminate the clutter of wires at the back of a PC-user's desk. It's been a long time coming (first Bluetooth devices were announced 2-3 years ago), and it still has some teething problems, but I think it will take off...
Have a look at Bluetooth SIG for more info on the specs.
Hope this helps,

Thanks for info Andy.
Yeah just yesterday I looked back there and yeah its gotten pretty tangled with all these external USB devices.
USB Printer, USB Lan, Wire into PCI Lan, Modem line, Phone line, 2 joysticks, 4 speaker wires, mouse, keyboard, power plug, power plug for printer, power plug for cable modem, line out of cable modem, network wire out of cable modem = a cluttered pack of snakes.
Hmmm, Hercules just released a 7.1 sound card, now the amount of speaker wires coming out of that thing just scares me.
