This is a discussion about The shared users thing is cool, but... in the Feedback category; The shared users thing is cool, but it causes some issues with the last visited functionality. Apparantly, the last visited entry is also shared between sites. For instance, when I go to NTC and click on view posts since last visit, it shows me the posts since the last time I visited either NTC or the new LC site.
The shared users thing is cool, but it causes some issues with the "last visited" functionality. Apparantly, the "last visited" entry is also shared between sites. For instance, when I go to NTC and click on "view posts since last visit", it shows me the posts since the last time I visited either NTC or the new LC site. And then if I immediately go over to LC, none of the posts are marked as new! Presumably, this is because I was just at NTC. I rely almost completely on this "new posts" functionality to keep up with the forums, so this issue makes it hard to keep everything straight. My guess is this is a problem with phpBB itself, and not the way you have it set up, but could you please look into this?
