"new" app icons

This is a discussion about "new" app icons in the Everything Apple category; When Chrome updated to Version 87. 0. 4280. 88, it came with a new app icon. Upon searching for the reason, I discovered that a lot of people hate these new app icons that are being forced upon users.

When Chrome updated to Version 87.0.4280.88, it came with a new app icon. Upon searching for the reason, I discovered that a lot of people hate these "new" app icons that are being forced upon users.

I for one honestly hate them just as much as a lot of people. I know why the change occurred, but, there should be a way to change out an app's dock icon if you want to.

Anyone else hate these "new" dock icons?

TBH, they're basically the mac version of an iOS app icon now. That's why they're ugly.
