Add a meta refresh after login/logout?

This is a discussion about Add a meta refresh after login/logout? in the Feedback category; Can you add a meta refresh after logging in, and after logging out? It seems redundant to have to click on the link to return to the home page after both login/logout. Also, what is the session timeout? After how many minutes is a user automatically logged out? Thanks.
