Off Topic: Which Linux should I run, fed up.

CyberGenX
Fed up with Windows as a main OS. Become too busy to play games. Should I go Mandrake or Redhat? Or is there and even better flavor? Which runs the most Windows/MS Progs? Look at stats for compat. info.

Most embarrasing moment...

pbuckne
I have been wondering about this for awhile, and wanted to see who would 'fess up. 'We all do dumb things', or so goes the Geico commercial goes. I've made a couple of technology oriented blunders, and wondered what everyone else had done.

PSU Issues?

pmistry
I just installed a new Western Digital 80GB 7200 RPM disk along with a Radeon 8500 LE, the components work fine, but I am wondering if I need a bigger Power Supply. I currently have 250-watts. Before I was running only a 20GB 7200 RPM Maxtor along with a GF2MX.

Add ratings to Database?

DosFreak
For Hardware/Games add ratings from different magazines? I say magazines instead of internet sites because they have been around the longest and have a rep. Computer Gaming World/PC Gamer/Maximum PC/Computer Games.

ASPI fix works great

snakefoot
Just changed from SCSI to IDE, and had uninstalled my SCSI controller and then my cd-rippers stopped working. (They would only recognize my Daemon Tool virtual cd-drive) Tried to install ASPI 4. 71 but no cigar, but then I find this and it works like a charm.

Improvements to NTCompatible

DosFreak
Is there any way to add a percentage of how many progs/hardware work for each os? Mabye a percentage on the main page. For instance the user logs on and see's that of all the software/hardware logged at NTCompatible that: 85% Games work in Windows 2000 40% Games work in NT4.

Worldcom, CEO's stealing employees money!!!!!!!!!

rh78
The Worldcom incident doesn't surprise me at all. I think this is typicall of corporate America. A company hires a CEO to run the company. The company pays him lots of money and he or she gets huge stock bonuses.
