Franksworld.net

fuqazi
In the applications section there are some links to pages on franksworld. net. These links don't exist anymore, because franksworld. net has moved to frankscorner. org. The info links for the following apps should be changed Photoshop 5.

XML Newsfeed parse error

keitaro
the news topic of Asus Bios Updates & Tool cannot be parsed because it is a malformed string. XML specs says that text with & in the string must use the & escape sequence to be valid XML. I do not know if the posting application or the user is to blame but in either case, the backend newsfeed (at ) needs to be XML ...

Virus jdbgmgr.exe

Ace
Ok people I got an e-mail from my friend saying that jdbgmgr. exe is a virus and cannot be detected by Norton or McAfee. It sits in your computer for 14 days before damaging your system and has a teddy bear on it as an icon.

MS to limit where Office 11 can go

clutch
OK, I can see limiting backward compatibility, however it's a bit odd that this would *only* work on Win2K SP3 and WinXP as those are the ones using the spiffy new EULA permitting more information about a system to be captured by MS.

NTCompatible Pop Ups

Atreyu
I know everybody likes to make money, but I must say. . . the NTCompatible pop-ups are getting pretty darn annoying. It was nice to be able to come here and get what I need, and offer help to others, withoug corporate America plastered all over my desktop.

Anyone having problems accessing "www.google.com"

tuneS
I am having problems accessing www. google. com using IE 6 SP1 under WinXP PRo. I get some weird dutch website named De Standart Online. Last week, for instance, I was getting a different site. Is this related to the recent hacker attacks, or is this some marketing strategy related to MSN 8? Will Mozilla work?.

P133MHz & 128MB memory enough for a home router?

Ron_Jeremy
I thought about using this machine as a home router. There will be 3 pc's behind it; 2 surf the web quite frequently, & 1 will be a 24/7 Counter-Strike server. I thought about installing NT4 on it, but am tempted to use a Linux program found that runs off the floppy drive & doesn't even need a hard disk.

MicroSizers rock.

clutch
Just wanted to say that microsizers rock. I picked up the Mazda RX-7 (I am waiting for my red Mitsubishi Evolution to show up, so I got one on a different frequency) today and it's a ton of fun. Oh, and I am happy to report that it appears to be fully compatible with both Windows 2000 and Linux.
