Hey all Does anyone know of a script or program that can be purchased, or downloaded that will run on a person computer from a web site/ address, with their consent of course that will tell me their system specs? basically i do tech support, and many people have NO clue where to find this info, or they lie about it.

Multiple bootable partitions on CD-ROM?

I´m currently working on a bootable recovery CD and have run across a few things I just can´t seem to figure out. The first OS on that CD is going to be DOS with the DOS part of Partition Magic 8. 0.

If you go here: you can sign up for surveys, and some of which give you various software packages to choose from. I just finished up one (almost an hour and a half!) and it gave me various client OSs, Applications, X-Box game combos, and some other stuff.

That might've sounded a bit sarcastic, but so far, it's pretty good. I got Netscape 7. 0 downloaded to try out for the heck of it, as I've been having trouble on another message board-and it turned out to be IE6 for some reason.

You've got questions, we've got answers, or the commercial goes. I have a (wait for it) Dell PII 266 with 256 Meg of RAM and (count 'em) 2 WD Caviar 2. 1 Gig harddrives. I have been playing with booting multiple operating systems off of it, and have succeeded in getting no more than two off the ground at a time.

NET USE Return Code?

I've written a VB app that occasionally maps drives. Anybody know of a way to capture the failure of executing the NET USE command so that I may present an error message to the end user? It's possible that mapping the drive will fail, as when the drive is mapped the user is prompted for their domain password.

Hey Gang, Check out this article on 43 US states and Commonwealths suing the US recording industry. Basically there's a 67. 4 million dollar penalty and then they'll be required to donate 75. 7 million dollars worth of CDs to public entities and non-profit organizations.

I have a kid sister who chats. A lot. She used to use yahoo and msn and icq and all the rest, and this was killing her PII 400. Anyway, we tripped across and it is some of the best lying (emulating, whatever) software I have seen, since it emulates all of the above (as I recall) plus a couple.
